Acquisition   Geolocation Sensor

A wideband receiver for the intercept of commercial communications and waveforms.

AGS

The Acquisition & Geolocation Sensor (AGS) is wideband receiver optimised for the intercept of modern commercial waveforms (e.g. PMR, GSM, WCDMA) and sat-phones. AGS sensors cover the frequency range from 1MHz to 3GHz and operate using Roke's Software Defined Radio (SDR) algorithms.

AGS units have been specifically designed with a wide instantaneous bandwidth capability. It can support up to 40MHz instantaneous bandwidth providing operational capability against frequency hopping transmissions as well as other modern complex wideband waveforms.

Single Channel AGS

Suitable if only a signal monitoring function is required, or if a single receiver channel geolocation technique is employed (such as TDOA or FDOA).

Dual Channel AGS

Two receiver channels can be software configured as two independent wideband resources for spectral survey purposes or as a two channel phase-coherent resource for Direction Finding applications.

N-Channel AGS

The N-channel sensor allows the implementation of Roke's Superresolution Direction Finding algorithms and Adaptive Digital Beamforming (ADBF) techniques. These state-of-the-art algorithms and techniques are in extensive operational use globally. The N-Channel HFDF solution can use either the Quadrant or MicoQuad antennas deployed in an array. In this configuration, RESOLVE provides the ability to discriminate nearby tactical HF groundwave transmissions from more distant strategic skywave and NVIS transmissions.
